I mentioned at the top of this blog that wedding videography is more often then not, a last minute choice if there is budget left. Couples will often prioritise, sweet carts, decorations or stationary before they decide on whether a wedding videographer is needed.
However just like your venue and photography should be top of your list, I very much believe A wedding videographer should be too. Once the flowers from your day die back, and the sweets from the sweet cart have been eaten, They will be gone, Whereas your wedding videos wont be. You will be able to watch your wedding day back for the rest of your life and in turn your kids too.
There are a numerous wedding videographers out there at varying budget levels, so even if you have not got a huge budget, Find a videographer that you can afford shortly after booking your wedding venue as we often get booked up years in Advance.
Im a Hertfordshire based Wedding Videographer so I have a number of venues within my catchment area which means Im often getting booked up 1-2 years in advance.
Should you want to find out more about the packages I offer follow the link below and get in touch today!
One of the questions I often get asked is do we need a wedding videographer to capture our day?
Firstly its your wedding, and Ill always encourage couples to have the day that they want.... To not get trapped into the norms of what you should and shouldn't usually have but to have the day that you dreamt about!
The top of your list when planning a wedding day should be the venue and then your Wedding photographer. However, Couples will often leave wedding videography as a "if theres budget left" option.
Ill of course be coming at this from a bias point of view as I am a wedding videographer Based in Hertfordshire so inevitably Ill answer with the question with a resounding yes!
It's more than just your wedding day! What I mean by this is that its very much likely the only time in your life where you will get all of your friends and family in one place at the same time.
They will obviously be there celebrating your wedding day, but they will also be enjoying themselves seeing and meeting the people in your life that are closest to you. Its likely the people at your wedding day will be people in your life who you cherish the most and would have likely shaped who you are today.
Whilst your wedding photographer will be snapping away taking photos of your guests, They will only be a snap shot. With Wedding Videography and the videos you get back, you will see the emotion on peoples faces, You will be able to watch the way your guests are interacting with each other and hear them speaking or laughing.
In years to come, you'll be able to watch your wedding video back and see Nan and Grandad, Or other friends and family in a way that just a photo cannot give you.
You will see that I mention this a lot on my website as its such an important but overlooked factor when couples plan there wedding day.
Wedding days will often take years of planning and naturally the day will bring out the emotions with everyone on the day.
With my Wedding videos especially, Im always looking to tell the story of your wedding day in the most emotive way I can.
The moment your partner see's you walking down the aisle for the first time, The heartfelt speech that your family or friends give on your wedding day that make the whole room tear up, All will be captured on video. I constantly get emails from couples who's weddings I filmed years after letting me know that they still watch their wedding videos regularly and that they were so glad they're able to re live their wedding day.
This is why having a wedding videographer is important, As along with photography, its the only mementoes you will have from your Wedding.
